My name is Jess and I run this site. My daughter Imogen was diagnosed with JIA on 6th Feb 2013. Before her diagnosis, we had no idea that children even got arthritis. However since diagnosis we have learned a lot about the way it is managed. I felt so alone after we came out of hospital. We didn't know anyone else with a child who had arthritis. I decided to make this website for two reasons. The first being to raise awareness of the condition, the second to help at least one parent feel a little less alone.

We are based in the UK however we know that arthritis affects children all over the world. We welcome contact from anyone who needs someone to talk to, whether it be for advice or just a rant about the disease. I know I do this regularly!

I am hoping to get some other parents from different countries and have an Arthritis Chatroom and forum, so there will always be people around to listen.
